During free time, volunteers have the opportunity to rest, explore, and experience the natural beauty and local culture of Friwen Island. This time is designed for relaxation and personal recharge after morning teaching activities. Volunteers may enjoy swimming, snorkeling, walking along the beach, reading, journaling, or simply relaxing while enjoying the peaceful island atmosphere.
Free time also provides space for informal cultural exchange with local families and community members. Volunteers can learn about daily life, traditional practices, local food preparation, and island customs. Light interaction with children outside classroom hours is welcome, as long as it respects community guidelines.
